It's only a game

Our family of 9 went to our first and only football game of the season It was a preseason game at FedEX field in Maryland. I was so excited to go. It was my first professional football game ever. This was the first time in 2 yrs that both teams would play each other. I wasn't going to miss this.

Within the first few minutes of the game, wordw were exchanged between Skins fans and Bills fans, and it quickly escalated from there. The words became taunts and threats and quickly became confrontational. Two Skins fans kept trying to coax the Bills fans into a fight. The addition of several beers and mixed drinks only made it worse.

It's just too bad that some confrontational drunk had to ruin the fun for everyone around the Section 418. I spent way too much time looking over my shoulder. It was like watching a train wreck, I just couldn't look away. Neither could anyone else. I missed most the game.

This one man became so agitated and angry that the staff came over to talk to him twice. He was spitting and throwing things at the Bills fans in front of him (a group of maybe ten or so).

Towards the end of the game the other group of Bills fans left early. The agitated drunk and his sidekick were not far behind. Sadly, I don't think I'll ever go to another game again, or wear a an oposing team's jersey. What happened to sportsmanship?

We expected2 to 3 Ft. of snow. and snow it did. for 2daysat about 30 inches then round 2 was 48 hrs later with winds topping48 mph and dropping another 4or 5 inches. anyway, it made the record books. Dinner with Judy

Steve and I went to Viet house at 11216 lee Hwy in Fairfax Va 22030 for dinner. It's an authentic Vietnamese restaurant Wow, I was a wonderful meal.It was Delicious. and fresh. The price was more than reasonable. Judy walked us through all the food prep and spices. It was so cool. The orentation proved to be quite valuable. The chop sticks only lasted 10min before I went for a fork. We found a new favorite place to eat. We had summer rolls and some of Judy's meatball soup(she shared).and the main course was very large Vermicelli bowl. Check out the menu at www.phoviethouse.com . To make it even more enticing there's a Christian store next door and a yarn shop 2 doors down. Heavens be praised!!!!!! The plaza of my dreams.

cabin fever

We still have snow on the ground from Dec.21 snow storm It's just been unusually cold this year for Virginia. I think my blood has thinned, not sure. Anyway,We made plans to go to the Library of Congress the Eastern Market and also see the Terra cotta warriors @ the National Geographic museum. The warrior exhibit was sold out, so we went to plan "B" wing it.
Adrienne and Pat came with us. We made a stew and put it over in the crock pot left around 10 by the time we got off the metro we we're all ready for lunch. Adrienne and Pat have never gone with us to this area on capital hill so we took them to our favorite hole- in -the -wall restaurant Tortilla Cafe at Eastern Market I had a Salvadoran chicken sandwich with yucca and platiano and a nice drink called Horchaca. On to the Library of Congress awesome place a national treasure for sure. Pat has never seen the new Capital visitors center before. It was right across the street. very convenient especially around 2pm when you've walked enough.
Back home around 5:30 or so for a yummy beef stew. I'll need Sunday to recover.

I blend all kinds of whole foods into drinkable yummy smoothies that are nutrious.
After a month and a half i've lost weight, gained energy, my nails are stronger and I sleep better at night.I feel great. I drink a quart or more a day of green smoothie varieing the greens ,fruits and vegggies 1 quart =15 servings of greens, fruits, veggies. By 10AM I've gotten all my serving in for the day, no worries.
